Artist in Residence - Oxbow School Visiting Artists 1999-2017

On exhibit through May 8, 2018

Over 70 renown professional artists will be exhibiting unique and beautiful art works on paper. Each of these artists has worked closely with Oxbow School students in downtown Napa over the school’s 19 year history, and have generously donated one of their pieces in support of the school’s founding head, Stephen Thomas, who will retire in June 2018. All proceeds benefit financial aid for deserving students at Oxbow.

Hung Liu

Some of the featured artists include Hung Liu, Robert Kushner, Anya Gallaccio, Lordy Rodriguez, Eleanor Coppola, Kathleen Henderson, J. John Priola, Deborah Oropallo, Todd Hido, Kota Ezawa and Tucker Nichols, among many others.

Margrit and Robert Mondavi, along with Ann Hatch, were co-founders of The Oxbow School in 1999. Given Margrit’s love of the arts and desire to see young people have access to an exceptional visual arts education, Margrit continued to be an avid supporter of the school throughout her life.

Alan Shepp

The Oxbow School is a residential semester program in Napa focusing on studio artmaking and interdisciplinary humanities. This unique program provides high school juniors, seniors, and gap-year students the opportunity for an intensive visual arts experience and thought-provoking academic instruction.
